EarthCure

The EarthCure Recycling Process

  1. Material is shipped to EarthCure or picked up by our representatives (at our expense).
  2. EarthCure receives the material, weighs it, and then assigns a specific Lot number to each shipment. As most of this material is waste, the Lot is then roasted to remove the carbon based materials from the metallic.
  3. The material is re-weighed after roasting to account for the loss prior to smelting.
  4. The material is placed in the furnace and melted. Once molten, a sample is taken before the material is poured into a mold. The sample is taken into our lab for analysis of the precious content. The resulting bar is taken from the mold and the 'after-melt' weight is recorded.
  5. The bar is placed in the vault and calculations of the fine content are done by multiplying the analysis percentage vs the weight of the bar. (Ex. the bar weighs 100 ounces and the analysis says that it is 56.32% platinum, then there are 56.32 ounces of platinum contained in the bar).
  6. Results are entered into a settlement form and the current spot price of the metal (i.e Platinum) is assigned to the fine content. The refining costs are deducted and the customer/facility is contacted with the results and the pricing to accept and be paid or wait and leave the metal open for the market price of their choosing.
  7. EarthCure sends overnight checks or same-day bank wires. The customer may also take all or a portion in metal (in the form of bullion items in gold, silver, platinum or palladium or any combination thereof).
  8. The refining process generates a certain amount of waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous. EarthCure treats the any hazardous materials produced in the refining process to neutralize them for disposal and a zero carbon footprint.
